About the role:


The EL 1 Assistant Director Practice Leadership (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes within the Research and Evaluation functions of the business.


The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence and engage in very complex problem-solving and issues management within the Research and Evaluation functions.

The position will exercise sound decision-making and judgement to produce high-level policy advice and operational support.


The EL 1 Assistant Director Practice Leadership will coordinate a new function which focuses on building capability and changes to practice which are underpinned by the evidence-based and best practice approaches to customer service.

This may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the business's objectives.


Duties:

  • Use expertise in knowledge translation, implementation science, and behavioural insights (individual and organisational behaviour change) to support business projects related to workforce development and education in practice.
  • Design and lead the development of a practice leadership approach that can be used by the business to create a more consistent, evidenceinformed workforce. This will include tools, resources and networks which can be used to support frontline capability uplift.
  • Build and maintain relationships across the business.
  • Maintain project records using research software or platforms. Take on management responsibilities as and when required.

Key skills required for the position:

  • Qualifications in allied health, public health or related discipline (PhD or post grad qualifications preferred). Expertise in behavioural insights, workforce development and knowledge translation.
