With a focus on delivering our Vision2025+ strategy, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial strategic role in shaping the digital technology skills and capabilities we need for future success.


Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, this TA Specialist role will be the crucial cog in securing the skills, capabilities and talent that David Jones needs to build progressive and innovative technology and digital functions for the future.

Given our new ownership model, are building from the ground up functions that delivering cutting edge omnichannel experience underpinned by outstanding technology.

You will work with a dynamic group of leaders as they set the framework for an inspired team to deliver outstanding outcomes.


This will suit a passionate and customer centric, TA/recruitment specialist who is inspired by the idea of building something new within an organisational transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

  • Partnering with business leaders to identify innovative solutions to solve external talent requirements
  • Delivering a consistent volume of hires across the technology and digital functional areas
  • Identifying strategies in line with D&I strategies and initiatives
  • Optimising ways of working to enhance recruitment processes to ensure quality outcomes
  • Support strategy development for contingent/temporary and consulting labour requirements
  • Work with cross functional teams on P&C and business wide projects
  • Demonstrated experience in internal TA/recruitment environments preferably within fast paced environments
  • Proven success delivering end to end recruitment across technology and digital functions
  • Experience utilising HRIS, ATS/AMS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
  • High level interpersonal and communications skills to enable strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • A curious mindset coupled with the adaptability to change at speed if required
  • Passionate about creating high performing teams in transformative environments
  • A desire to work across broad talent projects and deliver solution orientated outcomes
