As the Information Security Technician at RFDS, you play a vital role in protecting data, ensuring compliance, and upholding the brand's reputation. Your responsibilities include developing security policies, conducting audits, managing risks, responding to incidents, and providing security reports to the management team. Additionally, you oversee the deployment and monitoring of security systems across the network.

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in information security.
  • In-depth understanding of security threats and trends.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, including AWS and/or Azure.
  • Advanced grasp of Information Security principles.
  • Experience in data management, data security, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, data management software, and event monitoring tools.
  • Securing ICT networks, infrastructure, and applications with cyber security strategies.
  • Experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
  • Knowledge of authentication technologies.
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as Privacy Act, Essential 8, NIST, PCI DSS, ISO 27001.
  • Experience in deploying security awareness and training programs.
  • Cyber security certifications like CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, CCNA, GSEC.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields.

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement security technologies and tools.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats.
  • Oversee access permissions and security policies alignment.
  • Ensure data protection, encryption, and compliance.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize security risks.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and scans.
  • Monitor backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Enforce information security policies and procedures.
  • Manage security audits, penetration tests, and compliance checks.
  • Assist in safeguarding Operational Technology components.
  • Generate security incident reports and performance assessments.
