The opportunity:


The Procurement Portfolio Manager
(12 month fixed term contract) provides end to end portfolio management across one or more Business Units, supporting multiple categories of varying degrees of complexity across their allocated portfolio.


The Procurement Portfolio Manager will manage a team of 3 direct reports and be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of strategies for each category across professional services, corporate services, banking, marketing, projects etc.


How will I help?

  • Supporting the procurement transformation agenda within the APAC procurement team, and across the broader business
  • Continually analyse, review, and monitor total category spend (strategic, tactical and operational) to ensure both short term and long term strategies are in place to maximise value (e.g. enhance catalogue options, use of panel and supply agreements, and long term contract plans).
  • Adopting innovative sourcing methodologies and strategies to ensure maximum benefit and value for money
  • Developing and maintaining a strong rapport with business units, engaging and influencing a range of key business stakeholders to enable delivery of outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with external stakeholders and maintain up to date knowledge of relevant markets, services and products, supplier innovations, international movements, competitor activities and industry bodies.
  • Leading and develop a high performing team focused on delivering quality and timely Procurement outcomes and optimum benefits.

What do I need?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, law, or supply chain operations, with postgraduate studies desirable.
  • Successful experience in commercial management, from strategy development to execution
  • Significant business, commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience in successful commercial negotiations, with evidence of having applied innovative thinking, persuasive and negotiating skills and strategic planning
  • Experience in working effectively within a matrix style organisation including at global level
  • A strong understanding of customer experience and customer centricity principles
  • Proactively takes ownership and acts with integrity to deliver required results.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders, working across organisational structures with a confident, collaborative, results oriented approach
