About the role: As a Social Media Specialist, you are responsible for developing and managing engaging organic social plans, strategies, and content creation. You should encompass comprehensive social knowledge, understand both paid and organic media programs, and be accountable for formulating and executing strategies across key accounts, proactive briefs, and potential business prospects.

In this position, agility is key, as you should be ready to handle various social media tasks. A deep interest in innovative work and emerging trends on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat is essential.

As the role holder, you will be at the forefront of championing social best practices, refining our Agency's social processes, and implementing tools to ensure optimal outcomes for both our team and clients.

A Social Media Specialist is also tasked with supporting other strategy team members and the broader agency by contributing social data, research, insights, and recommendations that breathe life into ideas.

Key Responsibilities

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

  • Develop tactical and always-on work programs focusing on organic content
  • Manage, schedule, and optimize organic content according to clients' social strategies and objectives
  • Create community management guidelines and escalation procedures
  • Supervise community managers (if applicable) and engage in community management activities when necessary

CONTENT CREATION

  • Design and craft organic social content as needed, incorporating content formats specific to each platform (e.g., Instagram Reels and Stories, TikTok videos)
  • Proficient in capturing and editing organic content for TikTok videos and Instagram reels, aligning with platform best practices and trends

SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY

  • Formulate and enhance social strategies with a solid grasp of the functionalities and advertising possibilities on major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat
  • Analyze digital campaigns and platform performance utilizing various tracking tools like Meta insights and Sprout Social
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends and promptly adjust strategies to align with these changes
  • Extract meaningful insights and data, offering valuable recommendations for enhancement
  • Lead workshops on social best practices and platform-specific deep dives to enhance agency knowledge
  • Foster engagement and manage risks across all channels
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of paid social strategy and implementation to provide informed perspectives when necessary
  • Collaborate with creative teams in developing socially native concepts for major client projects and campaigns

STRATEGY

  • While concentrating on social media and content, always assess how your social plans integrate into the overall integrated communications strategy, guiding business management, digital, and creative teams with frameworks for social roles and customer journey messaging, among others
  • Dive deep into insights mining to uncover valuable data and human insights for crafting more efficient communications

TOOLS/TECH/PROCESSES

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of essential social management, scheduling, and reporting tools
  • Engage with platform representatives to explore collaboration opportunities with the agency and clients
  • Analyze website and social analytics, producing actionable recommendations
  • Assist clients and the agency in establishing 'social ways of working' processes

CLIENT UNDERSTANDING/RELATIONSHIPS

  • Familiarize yourself with your clients' social requirements, industry trends, brand guidelines, and social standards
  • Forge strong connections with the wider agency team and the clients you collaborate with

  • Confidently present internally and to clients, supported by well-reasoned arguments
