About The Role:

As part of the Industry and Education leadership team, the primary responsibilities of the Program Lead VCE / Work Education role is to lead and manage the coordination, design, development, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of Senior Secondary and vocational education and training programs and services, informed by industry and learner expectations.

This role will lead a team of Teachers and is responsible for all aspects of their performance against business targets and their development. The role will also undertake the scheduling and allocation of Teachers to courses and classes and teach as required. The Program Lead VCE / Work Education position is accountable for monitoring student progress and results, in accordance with regulatory standards.

  • An educational or teaching qualification.
  • Current VIT Registration, or eligible and willing to obtain VIT Registration
  • Current Vocational Education and Training (VET) Diploma in (TAE50116, TAE50216 or TAE50122) containing 200 hours of supervised practicum, or higher VET qualification, including TAEDEL502 Studies in Adult Learning Methodology, and TAERES501 Apply Research to Training and Assessment Practices
  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills
  • Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of course design, delivery and assessment, within the governance framework
  • Proficient in IT management systems and MS Office suite
  • Understanding of auditing and regulatory requirements within the VET and Senior Secondary Sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strong results against organisational goals for which the role is responsible
  • Experience with effectively leading, engaging and developing teams to the attainment of organisational goals
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), relationship building and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across large groups and deal with personal matters sensitively
  • Strong problem-solving skills demonstrated through critical thinking and a high work ethic
  • Current and valid Victorian driver's licence and ability to travel between BKI sites and workplaces
