Our client is a leading vocational education institution focused on providing high-quality training and education to meet industry demands. With a commitment to excellence, our client is dedicated to empowering individuals and fostering community development.

As part of their growth strategy, they are expanding their health and community courses in the Northern corridor of Melbourne and revitalizing their Broadmeadows campus with a new Health and Community building.

We are assisting our client in their search for an experienced Lead Educator to join them in this exciting phase of development.


About the Role

As the Lead Educator - Health, you will play a vital role in delivering quality vocational education, training, and competency-based assessment in specified health program(s).

You will lead a team of staff, manage program coordination, design, development, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement. This role will involve working in a range of settings, including classroom, workplace, and online environments.

Additionally, you will engage with industry bodies, employers, and stakeholders to ensure their programs align with industry standards and trends.


About You

To excel in this role, you will need a broad knowledge of vocational educational program development, TAFE structures, and compliance requirements, along with a deep understanding of the Health training package.

You should have substantial experience in an appropriate industry sector, preferably in a technology/digital role.

Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will be responsible for managing a team and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your expertise in learning design, facilitation techniques, and assessment strategies will contribute to the continuous improvement of their programs.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Hold or completing a TAE40116: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent.
  • Nursing qualification held.
  • Fundamental understanding of competencybased training, assessment, and elearning.
  • Sound knowledge of the VET system, relevant qualifications, and industry sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Proven experience in program coordination, design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Complianceoriented mindset, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Continuous professional development and commitment to staying updated with industry trends.
