Data Centre Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our elite team at Amazon. As a key member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled Data Centre Technicians and ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data centre technicians and operators, and routinely review the ticket queue for large events and address accordingly.
- Guide, train, and educate data operations technicians on the best practices related to all service owner issues.
- Manage and deliver mid-size projects.
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Manage a diverse team of data technicians with varying skills.
- Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations.
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Write and deliver performance reviews for staff.
- Constantly improve all our processes and procedures.
- Assist & manage relationships with external vendors & contractors.
- Ensure we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data centres.
- Create and maintain metrics of all aspects of our Data centres and utilize those metrics to drive positive improvements.
- Assist in implementing service methodologies that include incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.
- 4+ years people management experience with direct reports in an IT related field.
- 4+ years experience in managing IT systems.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of change concepts, problem and incident management.
