The ArmadaleGosnells Landcare Group (AGLG) is a communityorganisation that coordinates land care planning, riverrestoration, bushland management, community action and communityawareness programs. The Group has been running since 1996 andconsists of three staff members, community groups, residents,landowners and volunteers.

There is anopportunity to join the team in a Coordinator position who willlead the organisation to facilitate the repair of natural areas inthe Upper Canning and Southern Wungong Catchments, whilst educatingand promoting the environment to the community.

WhatYou Will Be Working On:

As theCommunity Landcare Coordinator, you will be responsible forexecuting the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Strategic Plan andBusiness Plan. You will be instrumental in the planning, scoping,development and implementation of large multi-stakeholderenvironmental projects.

You will havea direct impact and influence on improving the water quality andbiodiversity value through the revegetation and restoration ofriver foreshores and bushland.

You will beparticipating in regional Natural Resource Management initiativesand represent the organisation in regional and sub-regionalplanning workshops.

As theCommunity Landcare Coordinator, you will be able to work with apassionate and engaged community to make a tangible difference inlocal environmental management, whilst supporting the ongoinggood governance of a not for profit communityorganisation.

WhatType Of Person Will Be Successful:

In this role,you will provide support to internal and external stakeholders onvarious aspects including organisational governance, marketing andfinancial activities as well as provide technical advice inenvironmental management and natural resource management. Yourspecialist leadership will play a crucial role in supporting theAGLG to make a positive impact on the community.

  • Having a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or equivalent.
  • Possessing experience in business administration.
  • Proven experience in leading large groups from the community and volunteers to deliver outcomes.
  • Has exposure to managing grant funding arrangements.
  • Possession of Working with Childrens Check or the ability to gain one.
