The role

will have primary accountability for the performance of Commercial Claims in complying with and delivering against Suncorp's Distributor Onboarding and Management Standard and delivering best in class claims service to our internal and external stakeholders and Vero's distribution.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with Agency and Schemes team and front line claims teams onboarding and maintaining distribution partner relationships and embedding the contractual obligations into claims processes
  • Creating the operational structure and processes to manage claims and/or oversee the management of claims by distribution partners within Vero claims management delegations of authority, governance and risk frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Create and embed strong financial controls around imprest account management and bordereaux claims payment processing generally
  • Claims relationship management contact for internal stakeholders and onboarded distribution partners
  • Ensuring quality assurance reviews for outsourced claims management arrangements are conducted in compliance with Suncorp's Quality Audit Governance Standard and contractual obligations with its distribution partners.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of claims, portfolio and underwriting practices and procedures
  • Robust understanding of GICoP, Insurance regulatory environment and Suncorp's Enterprise Risk Framework
  • Relevant experience in compliance, risk or commercial law environments
  • Ability to respond to the commercial environment and to provide sound commercial recommendations
  • Ability to deal with complex issues, build relationships at all levels, and, negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders (including brokers).
