About the role
This role can be based in Brisbane or Sydney where you will form part of the local leadership team.

Reporting directly to the ASIA Pacific HR Manager based in Singapore, you will have responsibility for developing and implementing the Australian HR strategy.

You will lead a small team in the implementation of global programs at a local level whilst ensuring business alignment.


  • Lead and coach a small high performing team to support commercial outcomes.
  • Drive engagement strategies partnering with leaders and managers to embed processes locally.
  • Advise leadership on complex ER/IR issues and associated risks.
  • Assist in the development of talent attraction, retention and engagement strategies.
  • Utilise reporting and data to influence corporate decision making.
  • Assist leadership to set, monitor and assess team KPI's and budgets.
  • Lead local acquisitions, due diligence and integration, developing relevant change and communications.

About you


It's expected that you hold relevant tertiary qualification and have over 10 years' experience in HR leadership roles within global matrix organisations.

You will be able to demonstrate experience working with blue-and-white collar employees in multi-site environments with preference given to engineering OEM's, industrial manufacturing or mining industries.

You have strong Generalist HR experience, and honed project management, change and communications skills.

You have extensive experience in employee relations, negotiating EA's and leading consultation with relevant internal and external bodies and unions.

You must be well versed in remuneration and benefits, talent attraction, branding and retention strategies, engagement surveys, and HR systems implementations.

You are conversant in generating and analysing reports for ELT locally and regionally.

You are an inspiring pragmatic leader with a commercial mindset who can communicate with stakeholders at all levels in Australia and internationally.

You will be open to travel nationally when required with occasional international travel.
