We are in search of a **Management Accountant** to become part of our team located in Jandakot, contributing to ensuring financial information's integrity and aiding decision-making to reach budget and strategic plan goals through reporting and analysis.



About you

  • Accounting degree or equivalent Finance/Business degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST, and FBT
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder
  • Analytical thinker
  • Professional membership with or working towards CPA or ICAA qualification
  • Experience in monthly financial reports preparation
  • Experience with finance and payroll systems

About the role

  • Analysis of financial results, monitoring variances to plan with monthly commentary, identifying trends, and recommending actions
  • Modeling cost of operations and revenue
  • Identifying initiatives to enhance processes, systems, and work practices
  • Preparing annual budgets and forecasts collaboratively with key stakeholders
  • Partnering with business leaders in financial portfolio management
  • Preparing and maintaining monthly reports
  • Maintaining the contract register
  • Assisting in year-end audit file preparation and external reporting
  • Assisting with the FBT return
  • Maintaining and reconciling the Fixed Asset Register
  • Managing and reconciling inventory
  • Managing registers of lease/rental properties and other assets

Annually, RFDS WO conducts about 10,000 urgent patient retrievals in regional WA and serves another 10,000 appointments within primary healthcare clinics in remote areas, addressing various health needs.

The RFDS in WA operates from five bases located in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie, and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations hub at Jandakot Airport impeccably coordinates intricate logistics for patient retrievals and clinics statewide.
