We are offering an opportunity to join the management team based out of the Central Coast workshop & offices.

Specialist Tunnel Excavation Group is an innovative company who provides unique plant & equipment to tier one clients Australia wide.

Any suitable applicants with relevant industry backgrounds should understand the requirements of this role when it comes to heavy equipment working in demanding conditions & long hours, so know what to expect from maintenance, repairs and breakdown demands.

The Workshop Manager will report to the General Manager and provide support & planning to a team of Maintenance and operational personnel across all Projects, machine costing analysis, machine fault diagnostics and field service management.

The successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package reflective of skills and experience.
The Position is Monday to Friday and will suit a locally based individual with strong industry Knowledge.

Within this role you will be required to have the following skills and experience: Trade/Mechanical qualifications in heavy plant with additional professional qualifications being favorable (Asset Management / Engineering)5 years' experience in a similar role , Civil or Mining based maintenance management position Strong computer skills for both implementing and utilising preventative maintenance systems, records and data bases.

A strong emphasis on compliance with health and safety legislation Proven people management skills and effective support to site-based Supervisors and Operational Personal Strong customer/client focus An extensive background in asset management and budgeting Experience managing mobile mining fleets and achieving reliability and availability targets Strong Commercial and contracts acumen Some flexibility for after hours calls and some weekend work Ability to work under pressure and prioritize Implement effective strategies that streamline process Drive and support continuous improvement ideas Furthermore, you will be required to foster a positive relationship with site based personnel and enhance the culture and performance across these projects to achieve company and client objectives.

Candidates that have strong mining contractor experience and a dedicated mobile plant mining/ management background will be highly regarded.
