Overview

As the EWM Deployment Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing the SAP EWM implementation strategy. Your role involves gaining in-depth insight into the operational processes to effectively connect the business, development team, and 3PL end users.

You will collaborate closely with all stakeholders to gather needs, prioritize features, facilitate development, conduct testing, and handle defects - all essential for a successful roll-out of SAP EWM within our network.

This role entails significant travel (50%), primarily concentrated around pre-go-live, cutover, and hyper-care phases. During these critical periods, you will work together to share knowledge, perform user acceptance testing, and deliver end user training. Additionally, you will engage with the project team and business users to swiftly resolve issues and minimize business disruptions.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management expertise
  • Preferably, 3 years of specialized knowledge in areas such as warehouse system deployment (WMS, YMS, or LMS) or technical proficiency in warehouse execution system (WES) or warehouse control system (WCS) - e.g., automated work release, interleaving, STVs, dual pallet picking, etc. - or deep understanding of warehousing functional aspects like inventory control, labor planning, zoning, and scheduling
  • Strong collaborative & analytical abilities
  • Positive approach to change management, process simplification, and standardization
  • Willingness to challenge conventional practices and present innovative solutions
  • Experience in translating business requirements into technical and functional specifications
  • Knowledge of IDOC and interface messaging is advantageous
  • Familiarity with ADO platform and user stories management is a plus
  • Role involves 50% travel

Responsibilities

  • Organize discovery sessions to outline current and future operational needs at designated sites
  • Bridge the gap between operational requirements and system functionalities to develop a roadmap before go-live
  • Assist in deployment training, including knowledge transfer, user acceptance testing, and end user training
  • Travel on-site to provide assistance during cutover and hyper-care phases
  • Monitor site KPIs pre and post go-live, identify key areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures for underperforming KPIs
  • Collaborate with the project lead to address and resolve gaps in the network implementation plan
  • Offer guidance and support to team members to ensure smooth network implementation
