Operated by Healthscope, Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) is located in Frenchs Forest, only 13kms north of Sydney CBD. The hospital is a contemporary 488 bed facility comprising of 60% public and 40% private beds.

Providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50 bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre and Outpatients.

NBH has 13 operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheter theatre, two Catheter Laboratories and four endoscopy procedure rooms, all supported by a critical care unit which includes two intensive care wards.

Northern Beaches Hospital is a dedicated facility for all patients in the local area.

It was thoughtfully designed to optimise patient safety and overall experience, and to provide meaningful management and operational efficiencies that benefit everyone.

About the Role


As a
full time ward clerk in our older adult mental health team, we are improving experiences by providing exceptional customer/patient service by accurately and efficiently recording patient data, movements & activities and discharges.

You will assist by coordinating all relevant documentation and certification and maintain and collate medical records on the ward to assist in medical records.

You will professionally handle patient and family phone calls and provide the highest quality of administration support to nursing staff and management as required ensuring high standards of customer service, patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.

You will actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities and act as a valued member of the team by promoting a professional and positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members, effectively liaising with other departments (e.g. Front Office, reception and other units) and demonstrating time management and the ability to prioritise.
