Victorian Heart Hospital - Main Reception Customer Service & Admission Administration Officers

Our journey
The
Victorian Heart Hospital will be Australia's first dedicated heart hospital and is nearing its final stages of construction.

It will include a full range of ambulatory and inpatient cardiac care, including cardiac theatres, cardiac catheterisation laboratories, emergency, intensive care, and ambulatory services such as cardiac CT, echocardiography and specialist consultation.

It will also feature a unique, patient centred model of care.

The
Victorian Heart Hospital will also play a key role in advancing research and teaching and will be home to the Victorian Heart Institute, a brand new, health and medical research organisation at Monash University.

The Victorian Heart Hospital Main Reception will be open 7 days per week. Shifts start and finish times may vary between 8am and finish at 8pm.
In this administrative role your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide customers exceptional customer service both face-to-face and over the phone;
  • Complete and ensure accurate data entry when admitting and updating patient details on the Patient administrative system (iPM), and other data entry and administrative duties as required (as outlined on the attached PD)

Working closely with stakeholders and you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Create an excellent first impression of Monash Health by providing an efficient, respectful, courteous and professional greeting to all of our consumers, either by telephone or in person, and to support them in relation to the purpose for their contact and/or visit
  • Ensure patients are provided with accurate information regarding their admission and assist patients/carers/families with their inquiries using a number of systems and methods. This includes the Patient Administrative System (iPM), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Scanned Medical Records (SMR) and other Monash Health accepted methods or systems.
  • Provide administrative support to Managers, Team Leaders and other stakeholders across the department as necessary
  • Be accountable for performance with regard to data accuracy and integrity
  • Answer and assist incoming callers in a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times
  • Ensure appropriate standard of presentation and maintenance of reception area
