About the Role

Join our innovative academic team in the Department of Social Work as a tutor for our Master of Social Work field education program.

In this fixed-term role, you will engage with students and industry partners to support successful placement learning, conduct progress reviews, and perform final assessments of students.

This position is ideal for social workers with experience in social work education, particularly in supervising field placements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment of student learning by participating in placement assessment visits and tasks related to student progression
  • Advising the Social Work Field Education team when difficulties arise for students and/or industry partners on placements, and assisting with finding solutions.

Who We Are Looking For

You are a dedicated social worker with a strong commitment to engaging positively with students and addressing their learning needs.

You will also demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement skills, as well as sound written and verbal communication abilities.

You will also have:

  • A minimum of five years fulltime, postqualifying social work practice experience
  • A social work qualification that provides eligibility for membership of the AASW
