The OpportunityWe have a fantastic permanent full-time opportunity for a commercially savvy, dynamic and leadership driven Director of Finance to become a key member of the executive team at The Avenue Private and Masada Private Hospitals.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance will be responsible for the financial management and financial performance of both the hospitals.
You will be supported by an onsite finance assistant and an offsite Finance Service Centre which will undertake the transactional accounting functions for this role, however, ownership of the accuracy and integrity of the financials will sit within this role.
Key AccountabilitiesFinalisation and analysis of results and identification of opportunities for improvements and growthDevelopment of annual budgets and business plansManagement of various non-clinical departments within the hospitals, including Business Office/Patient Administration, Consulting Suites, Finance, Supply, Health Information Services, Catering and Environmental Services DepartmentsThe role encompasses the management and financial implications of Capital ExpenditureLiaise with corporate finance services regarding reporting and compliancePartnering with clinical departments to educate and empower departmental managers to understand, monitor and meet KPISAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will possess significant commercial acumen, financial management expertise, highly effective leadership skills and the ability to foster strong, positive, and professional relationships with remote and on-site teams.
Your Skills and ExperienceQualifications in accountancy/finance management, preferably CPA or CAAbility to analyse financial and operational information, develop value creating insightsWork collaboratively with the business to improve performanceDemonstrated excellent attention to detail, decision making capabilities and ability to communicate clearly and conciselyExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially ExcelPrevious experience working with large accounting software packages and financial reporting models including advanced budget preparationDemonstrated ability to work with and support key non-financial stakeholdersDesirable but not essentialExperienced in financial management within the healthcare sectorProficient in financial legislation, compliance, and financial risk management frameworks relevant to healthcare environmentsAbout the HospitalsThe Avenue Private Hospital is a cutting-edge private facility with 152 beds.
Renowned for excellence in orthopaedic surgery, joint replacement, and sports injury management, it also offers a reputable Bariatric (Obesity) surgical program.
The hospital features 11 operating theatres, a day surgery center, a High Dependency Unit, a Dermatology Centre, and advanced imaging services (MRI, CT, and Ultrasound).
Onsite services include Comprehensive Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, and Pre-Admission and Discharge Planning.Masada Private Hospital is a fully accredited 105-bed facility offering acute medical, surgical, dermatology, Early Parenting Centre, and rehabilitation services.
With four operating theatres catering to minor and complex procedures, Masada is part of Ramsay Health Care, Australia's largest private hospital operator.
The Bayside Rehabilitation Centre includes 30 single rooms, a well-equipped gym, and programs managed by dedicated healthcare professionals.The hospital serves patients with private health cover, TAC, DVA, WorkCover, and self-funded options, providing a distinctive private hospital experience with recognized quality of care.
