Permanent part time opportunity to demonstrate accountability at an advanced practice level for managing and coordinating ongoing care for consumers/patient within the Paediatric Emergency Department.

Permanent part time opportunity to demonstrate accountability at an advanced practice level for managing and coordinating ongoing care for consumers/patient within the Paediatric Emergency Department and for the provision of specialist nursing advice, consultation, leadership and education to inter-professional team members as relevant to the specific context of the role.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Integrate direction and priorities for quality improvement into care that establishes a quality framework which supports achievement of evidenced based care outcomes for consumers/patients within the Paediatric Emergency Department.
  • Foster active client engagement in the development of health care goals which promote self-management and seek to improve consumer/patient health literacy to support informed decisions about health care options including advanced care planning.
  • Participate in performance and development planning activities.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge, and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in the delivery of clinical care to individuals and groups through a facilitative, collaborative and inter-professional approach.
