About Vermont Private Hospital:


Vermont Private Hospital is a purpose-built day and overnight surgery with excellent facilities, specialising in Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic surgery, Pain Management, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Micro-Neurosurgery.

Our hospital includes five operating theatres, recovery beds and a 19 bed overnight ward. We cater for adults and children, and provide outstanding quality of care and patient comfort.

About the Role:

This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams

  • Ensure a high level of patient and visitor care.
  • Ensure patient accounts are invoiced, receipted and reconciled.
  • Reconciling payment rejections and maintenance and recovery of outstanding debtors
  • Undertaking patient account recovery functions (in liaison with the Finance Department)
  • You may be required to be in direct contact with customers with regards to complex billing queries.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as directed.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across all areas of the hospital.

About You:


You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer and patient care and want to add value to Australian healthcare.


Your Contribution:

  • Be an experienced revenue and billing professional from the Private Hospital / Health industry
  • Have a high level of computer / technical skills particularly Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail is important to you
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • A true commitment to delivering high quality customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing demands with limited supervision
  • Ability to identify and analyse problems and recommend solutions
  • Able to use initiative and to work both independently and as part of a team
