About the Role

Service Stream's Transport Division in currently seeking a Pre-Contracts Manager to join our Strategy & Growth team.

You will be responsible for evaluating and developing new strategic opportunities in the transport market & planning and coordinating business / project development activities.


Nature of position:
Permanent, Full Time

Location:
Flexible, the role can be based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne

Reporting Line:
General Manager - Strategy & Growth

Key Responsibilities

  • Functional Leadership to BU for conversion activities including solution development, estimating, proposal development, commercial negotiation and strategy and handover
  • Business Development for large Opportunities
  • Handover newly initiated projects/opportunities to GM Delivery
  • Assist GM Delivery with business development associated with existing contracts or smaller adjacent opportunities when required
  • Provide Bid resources
  • Assist in developing key strategies and win themes for the Bids
  • Arrange corporate reviews and approvals.
  • Review Precontracts processes and implement any updates
  • Develop and maintain effective networks and client relationships and initiate, coordinate, perform and evaluate business development activities, leading to the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities which are aligned with the strategic objectives.
About You


To be successful in the role, you will have significant experience in an operations or business development role and/or knowledge of the road maintenance industry.


In addition to the above, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in commercial and contract methodologies in a wide range of projects including PPP's
  • Demonstrated high level estimating management skills for complex projects and programs
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of Transport operations, maintenance, construction
  • High level negotiation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated high level people management/development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrix structure performing an enabling role supporting Regional/National Business Leads
  • Collaborative approach to problems solving and relationship management
