About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning and Completions Lead to join our pre-contracts team within the infrastructure water/wastewater treatment department.

This position shall ensure planning, budgeting and resourcing of commissioning and completions activities across our national portfolio of pursuit and will support projects where required, with a focus on process standardisation and improvement.

The position will report to the National Water Manager and can be based at our Pyrmont office in NSW, Melbourne office in Victoria, or Fortitude Valley Office in Queensland.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Provide leadership and technical direction to precontracts and project staff, design consultants, subcontractors, technology vendors with respect to testing, pre-commissioning & commissioning requirements
• Lead commissioning and completions component of tenders with responsible for commissioning planning, resourcing and budgets. 
• Lead John Holland’s enterprise approach to commissioning process and systems, looking for opportunities to standardise and seek improvement and efficiency. 
• Review required commissioning and handover documentation (organisation, staffing, program, schedules, templates, test procedures) requirements
• Identify risks to the construction handover, commissioning and implementation and provide control measures to the risks

Support project commissioning and completions teams to; 

o Ensure that the process of testing & commissioning preparation and execution is managed, planned, documented, resourced and executed meeting technical requirements as defined by the contract documents, to meet project budget and program requirements

o Ensure ongoing identification, review and acceptance of handover works. Contribute to the effective control of Completion risks.

o Comprehensive Planning, Implementation and Management of all testing & commissioning and performance, Operator Training, to achieve handover of the Project to the Client=

o Develop required commissioning documentation (organisation, staffing, program, schedules, templates, test procedures) in accordance with project requirements

o Prepare, implements, and revises as required the Testing & Commissioning Management Plan in compliance with the Contract requirements and with the Testing & Commissioning strategy

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

• Bachelors in Process, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience in the field of M&E installation/testing & commissioning within large scale water infrastructure or construction.
• Successful experience as a Commissioning Manager
