The role
ALS Geochemistry is looking for a Trades Assistant to maintain our equipment across both sites in Kalgoorlie .

Working in a close-knit team, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and assist with routine maintenance, fixing equipment across the two sites, and attending to breakdowns as required.

This full-time role will be responsible for:

Routine maintenance of all sample preparation and fire assay equipment. Building and fabrication of laboratory equipment. Carrying out preventative maintenance. Maintaining plant and equipment. This is a residential role, and you must reside in or plan to relocate to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region with current Australian work rights to be considered.

The Essentials
Current Forklift licence (preferred). Trade qualifications are not necessary. However, previous experience with power tools & equipment on a professional or personal level is essential. Previous fault-finding and repair experience is highly regarded Welding and grinding experience desired. Excellent work ethic Committed to a safety culture while maximising productivity The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision whilst being committed to the work of a team Reliable, physically fit, and prepared for manual tasks.
