Kindergarten Teacher - 6 month contract 3 days a week (Mon-Wed) from 7:40am - 3:15pm pm for the remainder of 2023 with a highly possible extension of employment in future years.

About - Ashgrove West Kindy is a C&K affiliated kindergarten upholding the highest standards in early childhood practices. With a history dating back over 80 years and a well-loved team of educators and support staff, Ashgrove West Kindy has a strong sense of family and community and is a well sought-after educational establishment for the children of the area.


An opportunity has arisen for a Kindergarten teacher to join our extended family to start as soon as possible - commencement of Term 3.

The class times are 8:20am -2:30pm school term times only.

The Role - Kindergarten Teacher

  • Programming and providing a high quality, inclusive and educational program incorporating a playbased curriculum using the Early Childhood Approved Frameworks.
  • Provide a secure and supported curriculum in a nurturing environment
  • To build a rapport with families and children, encouraging the establishment of positive and caring partnerships
  • To ensure that all communication is conducted in a professional and courteous manner (including content, delivery, and body language)

The Applicant/s should possess:

  • A Bachelor of Education
  • Early Childhood
  • Current Blue Card or exemption card
  • Previous experience in a Teaching role in an Early Childhood environment is essential
  • Current First Aid/ CPR including Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates or be willing to obtain before commencement of role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A demonstrated ability to work well in a team


The right person/s for the role will be passionate about working and communicating with children and will be dedicated to providing a nurturing and creative environment.

You will have a mature outlook, be an excellent team player, and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
