Our new Technical Sales Specialist is responsible for promoting and selling geoscience and data science related products and services to clients in various energy industries, such as oil and gas and energy.

Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential new customers.

As our Technical Sales Specialist you will:

  • Identify and target potential customers within the assigned territory or market segment.
  • Work with existing customers to demonstrate value and find new opportunities.
  • Present and demonstrate geoscience products (Blueback Software and Petrel) and services to clients, highlighting their features and benefits.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to maximize profitability.
  • Close sales deals and secure longterm contracts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers and stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and technical questions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including geoscientists, engineers, and technical support, to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the geoscience products and services offered by the company.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, including revenue forecasts, market analysis, and pipeline management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior knowledge or direct experience in drilling, seismic acquisition/processing, rock physics, reservoir characterization, 4D rock physics modeling, AVO response assessment and forward modeling, welltoseismic tie, seismic interpretation, and petrophysics would be highly relevant and desirable.
  • Experience in supporting G&G software is also considered desirable.
  • Familiarity with Petrel, preferably with regular usage, would be advantageous.
  • Having proficiency in Python would be beneficial.
  • A strong understanding of relevant technologies, including database systems, data visualization, fundamentals of cloud computing, and storage systems, is essential.
  • Prior experience with SalesForce, particularly regular usage, would be a plus
