Director / Senior Director - In-House M&A / Corporate Development – Melbourne

We have been exclusively assigned by a top-tier, multinational firm focusing on mining, metals, and natural gas petroleum sectors.

The company is dedicated to providing essential resources for global decarbonisation and aims to sustain its growth in the upcoming years.

In this role, your main responsibilities include supporting the M&A / Corporate Development team in strategic acquisitions that add value, divestments, and other related transactions.

You will be part of a dynamic M&A team comprising top-tier professionals.

As a Director, you will work independently or collaboratively in cross-functional transaction teams. Your tasks will involve shaping perspectives, managing internal and external stakeholders, creating impactful reports, delivering presentations, and collaborating closely with senior management and executives to guide vital strategic decisions for the company.

We are looking for a Director with a minimum of 15 years of experience in fields such as investment banking, M&A advisory, private equity, or similar corporate strategy roles.

Prior expertise in natural resources and/or metals & mining is a prerequisite for this role.

The company prefers candidates with a proven track record in public M&A within the mining sector.

The ideal candidate should be intelligent, adept at interacting with senior executives, demonstrate strategic thinking, and possess a strong drive for success.
