Business Banking (BB) at Commonwealth Bank manages relationships with small to medium-sized enterprises, mid-market corporate clients, and regional and agribusiness customers, offering a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also caters to personal and institutional online trading customers.

Business Lending (BL) is a specialized sales and product team that provides working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate finance, and property finance to customers. Additionally, it oversees Line 1 risk and controls for these products. BL handles product, process, portfolio, and pricing management, working closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital, and customer experience teams.

The Asset Finance Mid Market North Specialist team offers asset finance expertise to bankers and customers. Reporting to the Mid Market North Asset Finance Executive Manager, your role involves generating asset finance opportunities with existing and new clients across various asset classes. Your focus will be on creating and implementing sales strategies that proactively drive market share growth. To succeed, you need to be highly motivated, think innovatively, possess excellent communication skills, and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing asset finance education and support to all Commercial Banking teams, playing a crucial role in stakeholder management
  • Developing expertise around ABCD usage
  • Enhancing volume and conversion rates for this segment, emphasizing 'first time right' principles
  • Participating in and presenting at S & S sessions for your centers, conducting skills enhancement sessions for bankers
  • Regularly meeting with team leaders and Executive Managers to offer insights on their portfolio and performance

  • Adopting a Risk Mindset and being proactive in recognizing and addressing current and future risks
  • Viewing situations from a commercial perspective, understanding the market, customer needs, and competitor activities
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in technical skills such as Excel, MS Office, and E-mail
  • Confidence in presenting and creating compelling materials for different audiences
