What's the role all about

Are you a passionate and driven people person with an enterprise-based approach to project, program and portfolio management. Are you looking to contribute to the successful delivery of a large range of projects that will benefit our community? This role will see you lead organisational capability uplift in portfolio, program and project management for the EPMO.

Ideally this role would suit a pro-active and strategic thinker who is able to guide other staff and support project personnel whilst, continuously improving on all project management artefacts, methodologies and practices in conjunction with the Manager of EPMO and team.

We are a passionate and driven team who all work together to deliver outcomes that positively benefit our community. Its an exciting time for the EPMO as we work on the next generation of portfolio maturity.

The position is full-time permanent.

What you might do

Lead and manage framework maturity, effective portfolio management to enable appropriate assurance and give our project community the right training, tools and processes.

  • Implement, report progress and evaluate on an agreed program of maturity and capability development requirements for project and program management.
  • Design and deliver capability development programs and initiatives across a complex organisation, by applying a variety of evaluation methods (qualitative and quantitative) to understand the requirements for capability development and measure the success of services delivered.
  • Ensure the Project Management Framework, and the PLM (PPM Tool) and other EPMO standards and processes are best practice and lead evolution in this space.

Who we are looking for

  • A tertiary qualification in Project Management or post graduate and several years of subsequent experience or lesser formal qualifications and extensive and diverse experience.
  • Experience in applying a variety of evaluation methods (qualitative and quantitative) to understand the requirements for capability development and measure the success of services delivered.
  • Experience, knowledge and proficiency in portfolio planning processes and methods and their relationship to broader organisational planning.
  • Ability to design and deliver capability development programs and associated change management across complex organisations.
  • Experience in an EPMO or PMO and a sound understanding of implementation of project management framework and best practice project management methodologies and principles.
