Technical Discipline Manager - Land Quality & Remediation

  • You will be working closely with other Technical Discipline Managers across the mining, transport, urban & industrial development, water, and power & energy sectors. We are committed to providing a collaborative working environment, and you will report to the Service Line Operations Manager for Land & Water. You will also be joining a team of great technical experts including some of the best Contaminated Land Auditors in Australia.
Key Responsibilities

Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading activities in Land Quality & Remediation to ensure successful project delivery, sustainable business performance and motivated staff, which includes:

  • Technical leadership of staff and projects, ensuring, innovation, excellence, and quality
  • Close collaboration with our multidiscipline teams of specialist engineers, scientists, and planners
  • Leading and contributing to winning work by identifying and converting opportunities into projects through existing and targeted client relationships
  • Developing, facilitating, and enhancing relationships between our internal and external clients and SLR team members
  • Growing a sustainable highperforming business, commensurate with market conditions, opportunities and business expectations.
  • Managing workload through effective resource management skills, both within the team and working with and supporting other technical discipline managers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant State and National legislation and policies, standards and guidelines; providing advice and assistance on projects regarding best principles and practices
  • Demonstrating a commitment to your team member's professional growth and development through active and regular engagement

Skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in science or relevant field Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  • A strong track record of providing input into broader specialist services such as geoenvironmental engineering, transport, planning, surface water & ground water and soil science.
  • Demonstrated experience across a diverse range of sectors, including Mining, Built Environment, Industry, Oil and Gas; and Energy.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, good organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and technical report writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, selfmotivation and ability to work effectively within a team
  • A strong track record in building, nurturing and maintaining ongoing client relationships
