The Role: The Service Manager for Insurance Administration, Exits, and Underwriting is responsible for leading the Insurance Services teams that support clients, members, and claimants throughout the insurance process. They have overall accountability for both direct and indirect reports. The main focus lies on managing payments, exits, and underwriting.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to steer strategic direction and provide effective leadership
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to embed best practices in the business
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders for customer-centric solutions
  • Work in a dynamic environment without compromising quality and cost
  • Adapt to new technology and processes effectively
  • Focus on enhancing member and claimant experiences
  • Ensure teams operate within the agreed model and decision-making authority
  • Implement initiatives to boost team efficiency and performance
  • Utilize industry knowledge to enhance customer experiences
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Insurance Services team
  • Assist Team Leaders with people management functions
  • Create a culture of engagement and motivation for employees' development
  • Promote collaboration within the team and across the business

  • Maintain compliance with regulations and risk management
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure operational efficiency

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in life insurance, ideally in claims or underwriting
  • Engagement with senior stakeholders
