About the role

As a Youth Program Facilitator, you will engage with young people and support the delivery of high-quality youth programs and services, consistent with the needs and aspirations of young people, the broader community and Council.


Day to day duties include:

  • Contributing to the daily operation of Council's Youth Centre based at the new Bentleigh Library and Youth Hub
  • Facilitating engaging programs within a school setting (both in person and online)
  • Providing information to young people, parents, and schools
  • Organising and facilitating Youth Services' communitybased programming
  • Support the delivery of Youth events such as the Glen Eira School Holiday Programs and Family Information Nights
  • Networking and maintaining relationships with community organisations

About you

We are seeking an individual that has a passion for young people that will be matched by their reflective nature, analytical skills, sense of curiosity and fun.

Skills and experience

  • Completed or currently studying a Tertiary qualification in Youth Work or related field
  • Considerable experience or knowledge of Youth Work or related field
  • Ability to engage and interact with young people and a broad range of community members
  • Confident to facilitate programming in person and online
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence and regular access to a vehicle
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
