What You'll Do

• Craft data pipelines to gather and process large volumes of data
• Keep it clean Preprocess data to make it suitable for analysis; cleaning and refining to improve its quality
• Oversee relational and non-relational databses, ensuring data integrity and security
• Optimise data processing and retrieval speeds, enhancing system performance for better efficiency
• Implement privacy measures to protect sensitive data, adhering to data governance policies and regulations
• Document data processes, procedures and code
• Design, build and maintain databases and data systems, reorganising data structures for better accessibility and readability
• Utilise your technical skills and expertise to tackle data challenges
• Ideate and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for improved deployment efficiency and reliability

What You've Got

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data engineering / analytics / business intelligence
• Previous experience in data engineering, database design, and data warehousing Hands-on experience with CI/CD for data engineering pipelines would be highly regarded
• Strong experience in SQL for complex data transformation, query writing and database management
• Highly proficient in Python, including adherence to best programming style
• Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP) with an understanding of data platforms such as Azure Synapse and Databricks
• Strong understanding of data modelling (Kimball/Dimension modelling) concepts and best practices
• Proactive, ability to work autonomously, with a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well organised planner who works well under timeline pressures.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with different stakeholders
• A burning desire to show what you've got and what heights you can take the business
