Working as part of the Community Capacity Building team, you will be responsible for initiatives that promote artistic and cultural pursuits in the City, fostering an inclusive environment for culture and the arts to thrive.

You will have a strong focus on the City's Art Collection management, public art commissions and programming at the Rockingham Arts Centre.

You will also oversee curatorial and public art contracts, and be involved in a range of other arts and cultural projects and programs.


You have sound experience in Art Collection management and Community Development, with an arts and cultural focus and relevant qualification in these fields.

You are also an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with sound project management skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in art collection management
  • Demonstrated artistic program management skills including research, planning, delivery and evaluation
  • Sound experience in contract, service agreement management and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to prioritise work, multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Sound computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office suite of products
This position offers a gross salary of
$81,809 per annum and:

  • 11% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
  • A variety of health and wellbeing programmes
  • Flexible working arrangements including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annum
  • Training and development opportunities including paid study leave and study fees
  • Salary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles, etc.
