About the Role
As the appointed individual reporting to the Reliability Lead Track and Civil, you will offer engineering advice, conduct analysis, and benchmark the Maintenance function's end-to-end performance. Your responsibilities will entail identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that enhance functional excellence and align with business priorities for ongoing enhancements. The role involves:
- Examining asset performance and work management trends to consistently enhance equipment reliability and productivity
- Guiding and facilitating root cause analysis of identified discrepancies in equipment and work management performance
- Managing the End-to-End asset life cycle and continuously optimizing asset management strategies to meet business demands
- Developing capital business cases and driving project initiation, including contributing to the 5Y planning process
- Supporting Capital Project teams in project definition and delivery by providing maintenance strategy guidance to the Operational Readiness teams
- Offering frontline support to Maintenance Execution teams for reliability and maintainability inquiries
- Promoting and advocating for BHP Operating System (BOS) Principles and Practices
- Establishing robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence and steer outcomes towards achieving business objectives
- Providing assistance with capex opportunities framework
About You

You should possess demonstrated expertise in consolidating and analyzing information and have the aptitude to offer critical thinking coupled with a solution-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will encompass the following attributes:
- Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil) with experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering within the Mining or Oil and Gas sector
- Preferably, experience or knowledge of track maintenance activities
- Highly advantageous skills and knowledge of track design foundations and engineering
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of continuous improvement practices
- Capability to effectively engage stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Extensive experience with SAP
- Enthusiasm to question, learn, and drive meaningful change
Location
Your base will be at Port Hedland on a fly-in fly-out 5:2 4:3 roster from Perth. Port Hedland hosts our port and rail operations and stands as the largest regional center in North West Australia. The FIFO villages offer exceptional amenities, including a fully equipped gym, TV lounge, and games rooms. Additionally, you will have access to state-of-the-art aquatic and sporting facilities in the town of Port Hedland. All village rooms feature en-suite bathrooms, televisions, refrigerators, and air-conditioning.
