What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Plan, coordinate and carry out breakdown / preventative maintenance of the building facilities including infrastructure, plant and equipment
  • Provide access and monitoring of trades, service technicians and other visiting external parties.
  • Maximize value extraction of suppliers through negotiation of T&Cs including cost price, and other commercial decisions to deliver the best in class product offer
  • Managing the cleaning staff activities whilst utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to driving improvement in processes to ensure optimum efficiency of costs and resources
  • Identify bottlenecks which may cause interruptions to operations and therefore create a possible reduction in overall supply of product to customers
  • Monitor and address all cost variances of the Facilities Budget in a timely manner
  • Manage the timely completion of all HD's and maintenance requests
  • Manage implementation and adherence to Corporate Policies, Ethical Standards, Security, Trade Compliance (ITAR), SOX and customer requirements

What you'll bring
The role of Facilities Manager requires the following experience and skills:

  • 5+ years' experience in facilities management and the supervision of tradespersons
  • Deep regard for environmental, safety and wellbeing of company employees
  • Proven strategic planning experience
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, mathematics, data capability with Excel spread sheeting, drawing and drafting programs (i.e. Visio Professional, CAD and architectural planning software)
