As the Analysis & Planning Manager in Training for Menswear, you will have a crucial role in supporting the development of an appealing and profitable customer offering, guiding the Myer Merchandise strategy in partnership with the buying teams. Additionally, you will scrutinize business patterns and performance to enhance inventory management and sales profitability.

About the role:

  • Contribute to the creation and execution of product strategies for the buyership under the guidance of the Analysis & Planning Manager.
  • Perform in-season and post-season analysis on supplier performance and stock health; as well as in-season reporting and business analysis.
  • Provide precise forecasts on vital financial metrics and communicate potential risks based on sales trends, marketing, and product performance.
  • Implement pertinent tactical initiatives related to sales, profit, and stock to drive business results.
  • Take responsibility for the financial analysis in assortment planning & range construction.
  • Collaborate with the Buyer to design and offer a range tailored to customers and achieve key metrics like Sales, GP, and option productivity.
  • Plan intake/stock levels to minimize inventory while maximizing sales opportunities and maintaining a fresh, dynamic merchandise flow.
  • Supervise and guide Allocation Analysts on product performance, including accountability for allocation and ordering processes, item planning, allocation of advertised merchandise, inventory levels, and supplier performance.

About you:

  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data to make in-season and future recommendations.
  • Understanding of our Customer First Strategy and implementation considerations.
  • Proactive in interacting and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders in the business.
  • Adopt a flexible, open-minded approach to achieving personal objectives while supporting broader team goals.
  • A strategic thinker with forecasting abilities, possessing strong financial, analytical, and business acumen.
  • Effective time management skills, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in computer technology and systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree or qualifications in Business Analytics, Commerce, Logistics/Supply Chain, Marketing, or Merchandise (advantageous but not essential).
