As the Procurement and Contract Administration Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking less complex procurement projects including initial planning, development of documentation and establishment of contracts, ensuring compliance with Policy, achievement of desired business area outcomes and delivery of value for money; for review by the Senior Procurement and Contracts Officers
  • Analysing minor complex matters including identifying and assessing options and recommending strategies to resolve issues across purchasing, procurement, contract management and/or administration functions to support the Procurement Services Team
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, and submissions to key stakeholders and clients
  • Contributing to negotiations with suppliers and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to assist in achieving operational and strategic outcomes
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders across a variety of business areas to determine requirements and progress of less complex procurement projects, activities and workloads, and external stakeholders and suppliers for the conduct of less complex procurement projects, activities, workloads, and contract administration activities
  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring relationships with internal clients and external suppliers for the purpose of achieving and sustaining customer satisfaction and value for money
  • Monitoring and controlling one's own workload, taking responsibility for prioritising and reprioritising of work as circumstances require and escalating/seeking advice and guidance from the Manager on a regular basis
  • Maintaining a detailed record of procurement projects, contract registers, decisions and contractual arrangements including data management; ensuring the audit trail is adequately maintained and documented to inform decision making, support knowledge transfer, for probity, accountability, and audit purposes
  • Commit to upskilling to ensure expertise is current and maintained
  • Contribute to an equitable, healthy, and safe work environment
