Who are Consolidated Power Projects (CPP)?


As part of the Quanta Services Group, a Fortune 300 Company, Consolidated Power Projects Australia (CPP) is an industry leader in utility and renewable high-voltage power solutions.

We specialise in the design, construction, commissioning and maintenance of high voltage infrastructure such as transmission substations, wind farms and battery storage systems.

The Opportunity


As one of our HV Leading Hands you will work on an industry leading substation project in Kidston and perform electrical construction as well as have leadership accountability for a team of trade-qualified workers.

This project is part of the Kidston Pumped Hydro connection, which is the flagship project of the Kidston Clean Energy Hub and the third largest electricity storage device in the country.


You will be rewarded with excellent working conditions under our enterprise agreement and have the opportunity to work on high voltage substation projects that are contributing to Australia's renewable energy future.


Skills and Experiences:

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • QLD Electrical License
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in moderate electrical construction and have experience leading a team
  • White Card, LV Rescue and CPR Certificate
  • Experience in high voltage testing, construction and maintenance will be highly regarded
  • Relevant industry experience in the installation, repair, commissioning, and maintenance of HV and substation equipment
  • Experience working within substations with some exposure to HV switchgear & operating equipment
