About the Role

As a Leading Hand at BMD Urban, you will be responsible for overseeing the completion of projects on time, ensuring a safe working environment, and delivering high-quality products to our clients. Your projects will involve minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety (OHS) and environmental requirements.
  • Arrange and manage plant, labor, and material resources for projects.
  • Direct and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and plant hirers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Control survey requirements and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Monitor daily activity costs and ensure budget compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and report any non-conformances.
  • Maintain a daily record of site activities and ensure compliance with the construction program.
  • Report and assist in recommending remedial work for any non-conformances.
  • Ensure client quality expectations are met or exceeded in accordance with specifications.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proven experience in minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects.
  • Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality construction projects within budget and program constraints.
