About the Role
As a Leading Hand at BMD Urban, you will be responsible for overseeing the completion of projects on time, ensuring a safe working environment, and delivering high-quality products to our clients. Your projects will involve minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety (OHS) and environmental requirements.
- Arrange and manage plant, labor, and material resources for projects.
- Direct and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and plant hirers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Control survey requirements and ensure accurate data collection.
- Monitor daily activity costs and ensure budget compliance.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and report any non-conformances.
- Maintain a daily record of site activities and ensure compliance with the construction program.
- Report and assist in recommending remedial work for any non-conformances.
- Ensure client quality expectations are met or exceeded in accordance with specifications.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Civil Construction.
- Current driver's license.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proven experience in minor civil infrastructure works and urban development projects.
- Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality construction projects within budget and program constraints.
