The Configuration Manager will work within the RecOps program of work, perform the management of future state recruitment operations platforms that will reside on, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure.

This role with contribute to technical releases, and environment refreshes. You will plan the capture and management of technical configurations in collaboration with vendors and internal ICT staff.

This role will be accountable for the configuration management processes as part of vendor updates, new development and testing environments, integrations and data management configurations.

This role will work with other ICT leads for the configuration and implementation of production releases.

Description


As the Configuration Manager, you will identify, evaluate and manage the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques and processes (including automation) for configuration management in collaboration with vendors and other ICT leads on the program.


You will:

  • Identify the relationships and maintain coherence between stakeholders and components for specific configurations
  • Accountable for configuration verification and audit activities to verify consistency of software code bases, vendor releases, configurations, databases, API's, data, and other related platform configuration items in accordance with project schedules.
  • Provide specialist knowledge to support activities and ensure quality and compliance with the relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks
  • Engage with stakeholders, investigate, report, develop, evaluate, advise and implement policies, processes, procedures, practice and manage resources specific to assurance and data specifications
  • Perform complex technical configuration activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes on Azure and/or AWS cloudbased platforms.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with team members, actively participate in team work and motivate and mentor developing engineers or technicians

Profile


To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of 5+ years, working as a Configuration Manager or as an Operational Environment Administrator (Defence experience is highly desirable) and a degree, technical diploma or certificate in a relevant discipline.


Your background will demonstrate:

  • Ability to perform an extensive range and variety of complex technical work activities with limited guidance demonstrating initiative, creativity and responsibility
  • Experience with systems and safety, security and managing technical risk and managing a complex stakeholder system
  • Ability to analyse, design, plan execute and evaluate work to time, cost and quality targets while assessing and evaluating risk
  • Effective communication skills both formal and informal including advanced technical writing skills
  • Strong analysis and insights in complex data to make strategic, practical, well though decisions
  • Interest in exploring new technical possibilities and trends across the brand, demonstrating though leadership
  • Deep understanding of complex interrelationships with technology in an overall system or process
