The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a talented Configuration Management Specialist to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail.

This role can be based in Williamtown or Brisbane.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Ground Support System (GSS) product design data (including software), technical baselines, engineering changes, and approved configuration;
  • Preparation and governance of GSS Configuration Control Boards;
  • Prepare and participate in GSS configuration audits and technical design reviews;
  • Assist to implement and maintain the controls necessary for data to meet security, trade control and intellectual property requirements, and
  • Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.
Experience/Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry;
  • Experience in the Wedgetail Ground Support System is preferred;
  • Formal Configuration Management training / certification is desired;
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry configuration management standards such as: ANSI/EIA649, EIA-HD649, MIL-HDBK61, EIA649_1 and EIA836 is preferred.
