Sustainability & Social Compliance Coordinator - Part-Time - 6 Month Max Term contract

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a true passion for sustainability, and an ambition to make an impact in your role, and to raise social and environmental standards. This role with be a 6 month Max Term contract (3 days per week).

You will gain industry experience working with THE ICONIC's sustainability team as well as directly with our Own Brand teams, suppliers and factories. It is an opportunity for a motivated and dynamic team player to contribute to an important phase of our sustainability journey.

About the role:

  • As a sustainability and social compliance coordinator your key role will be assisting in the continued implementation of THE ICONIC's ethical sourcing and social compliance programs
  • Working with our GFG sourcing office and local Own brand team to ensure that we meet our compliance requirements through administrative support of our factory audit and governance programme. This will include coordinating social audit and factory visit planning to ensure all factories are regularly audited and complete improvement plans based on THE ICONIC's requirements.
  • Supporting other sustainability projects across the business as required
  • Supporting the delivery of sustainability reporting requirements and development of sustainability communications materials
  • Working collaboratively in a small but highly functioning team to meet shared objectives

What it takes:

  • You are proactive, not reactive: not merely identifying issues, but proposing solutions. You challenge results, identify opportunities for future improvement and suggest appropriate actions/mitigations, regularly thinking outside the box.
  • Your time management skills are excellent, with proven ability to multitask and problem solve autonomously in a calm and professional manner, even when things don't go to plan.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills, with an ability to win the trust and respect of stakeholders. You lead conversations: influencing, building relationships, and communication are skills you pride yourself on.
  • You are also a fantastic communicator who is able to adjust seamlessly from a conversation with management, to your colleagues and to external partners. You back yourself and have the confidence and presentation skills to lead in any situation being both clear and concise.
  • You have enthusiasm with a 'can-do' approach to tasks, briefs or problems, no matter how big or small. Your enthusiasm is contagious, not annoying.
  • Your moral values are strong, and you are the type of person who cannot ignore when something feels wrong. You always do the right thing
  • You ideally have 2-3 years experience in a similar role, and a related University degree or formal training is a bonus
