Stewarding Supervisor

Delaware North is a global hospitality and entertainment company and the proud hospitality services provider for the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). With a capacity of more than 100,000, the MCG is the largest sporting stadium in the Southern Hemisphere. Hosting several Australian Football League (AFL) teams, as well as cricket matches, concerts and special events and non-event-day functions.

In the lead up to the up-coming AFL season we are looking for a full time Stewarding Supervisor with exceptional cleaning standards to lead our loyal and energetic back of house stewarding team.


A bit about the role:

Reporting to the Chief Steward, the Stewarding Supervisor will support with leading the team of kitchen stewards who work to maintain the cleanliness of all food & beverage production areas and outlets including operating commercial dishwashing machines across multiple kitchens across the precinct.

Duties will include:

  • Effectively supervise kitchen stewards during rostered shifts with a hand-on approach.
  • Undertake deep cleaning of kitchens and ensuring all checklists and tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Completion of rosters in line with modern award and work right restrictions.
  • Train team members ensuring they maintain a professional manner and up to date with banquet events and the requirements of the kitchen.
  • Ensure hygiene and WHS requirements are adhered to in line with correct processes.
  • Work safely with chemicals to assist with the cleaning process.

You will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in a kitchen environment or stewarding department.
  • Understanding of Commercial Kitchen Equipment, Chemical Handling, Food Safety, HACCP and WHS requirements.
  • Good presentation, communication skills.
  • Excellent grooming and personal presentation
  • Proven written and oral communication skills and sound computer literacy.
  • Able to work a 7-day roster including morning and evening shifts, public holidays and weekends.
