As Director Financial Crimes Program you will lead and co-ordinate the Financial Crimes Compliance Program of Action to ensure alignment of outcomes across Suncorp Bank.

Additionally, in this role you will be responsible for driving execution of program actions in support of Suncorp Bank's strategy and while maximising customer, employee and shareholder outcomes.


What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate the Financial Crimes Compliance Program of Action in alignment with the Suncorp Bank ambition and customer promise.
  • Partner with stakeholders to mobilise and execute the delivery.
  • Track and report on execution across Suncorp Bank and help shape any tradeoff decisions.
  • Deliver successful remediation of the AML/KYC CAR, building a strong rapport with key regulators to facilitate this outcome.
  • Drive a performance culture that supports individuals and teams in delivering superior value, plus ensures appropriate talent development and succession planning.
  • Create an environment that encourages wellbeing and a safe working environment.
  • Represent Suncorp's interests and values with customers, shareholders, government and regulatory bodies, other stakeholders and the public.

What you need to bring

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in business, commerce, risk or finance (Desired)
  • Demonstrated experience in the execution of large complex programs of work especially programs involving Operating model design and customer remediations.
  • Experience with and knowledge of AML/KYC
  • 10+ years' experience in banking or financial services.
  • Superior stakeholder skills, including demonstrated experience in coordination of key programs of work or projects.
  • Experience in balancing compliancerelated requirements with budgetary and commercial realities and business goals.
  • Learning Agility demonstrated ability to take on new challenges and activities, challenge and improve the status quo.
  • Change Management ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipate.
  • Communication convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written.
