  • Click for Job DescriptionSkylight is seeking a qualified Counsellor to work as part of a multi-disciplinary mental health team to assist in the development, delivery and evaluation of high quality therapeutic services.
The Counsellor will primarily deliver one-to-one services, but may at times co-facilitate other therapeutic groups. The program provides NDIS service as well and some grant funded programs.


Skylight programs deliver a range of recovery-oriented community mental health services by working alongside people experiencing mental illness, family and friends who support them, and the broader general South Australian community.

Requirements for Success

  • A tertiary qualification in Counselling and ideally a minimum of three years' experience in counselling or therapeutic health services in Australia
  • Current and full registration with ACA or PACFA
  • Excellent high level communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Demonstrated ability for selfreflection and selfawareness
  • Demonstrated ability to use therapeutic interventions and use appropriate tools
  • Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of and alignment with Person-Centred, Trauma-Informed, and Recoverybased approaches
  • Current SA Drivers Licence; DHS Working With Children check and NDIS Worker Check
This role is classified at SCHADS Level 5, 0.7 FTE. The role will be based at Skylight Metropolitan sites.
