About our client:

Our client is a large public practice accounting and financial planning firm, based in the heart of the CBD. They specialise in business services, tax, SMSF, advisory services, financial planning and mortgage broking services to SME businesses. The office consists of 6 Partners and over 45 staff. They also boast an exceptional staff benefits package

About the position:


This is an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Client Services Assistant to work in a growing CBD financial planning firm.

The portfolio and workload is spread amongst the team dealing with super, wealth management, insurance and mortgage broking. Supporting 2 Partners, 3 financial planners and 2 CSA's you will be an integral part of the team. They also have a remote CSA based overseas, offering full time assistance. They use Xplan software.

Our client is keen to employ an individual that would like to develop their career within the firm.

Duties may include:

  • Scheduling and confirming appointments for all Financial Planners
  • Collect product information from external product provider (3rd party research)
  • Preparation of Insurance Quotes and forms as requested by Financial Planners for advice to be considered.
  • Lodgment and follow up of existing client (Service) requests e.g. Changes due to review, withdrawals, change of address etc.
  • Create and maintain a database of all clients for mail merge purposes.
  • Incoming Mail Processing.
  • Maintain a "clean" task/ workflow follow up list.
  • Ensure all follow up work is completed in a timely manner and actions are documented in writing for record in the client file.
  • Maintain Compliance behaviours in line with business, licensee and regulatory objectives.
  • Active completion of ongoing training to ensure up to date technical knowledge.
  • Attendance and participation at team meeting and other team activities.
  • Follow all workflow processes in line with practice Workflow principles.
  • Assist with Share trades
  • Data entry
  • Respond to internal queries (eg. Accountants)
  • Bank transfers
  • Maintain a high level of compliance to company policy, licensee policy and business rules and financial services legislation.
  • Contribute to discussions and decision making on compliance and compliance framework within the business.

Requirements:

  • Strong wealth management administrative experience
  • Experience using Xplan software
  • Exceptional verbal and written English skills
  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Permanent Resident or Citizen
