Role:

Reliever - Personal Carer (Care Aide): Deliver health services to Silverchain clients throughout the Perth metropolitan area including personal care, social support, respite care, home-exercise programs and occasional domestic assistance.

Reliever Shifts:

Our reliever Care Aide can receive shifts between Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm.

Key Responsibilities
Our Care Aides deliver exceptional care and support to our clients.

Responsibilities can include skin care, toileting, general hygiene, grooming, dressing, fitting and removal of pressure stockings, mobility, fluid intake, feeding, meal preparation, respite and assisting with medication.

Support will also be required with Home Help duties, these can include general housekeeping, social support and basic first aid

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be passionate about delivering the best care and also possess:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC or Disability (mandatory) or Enrolled / Registered Nurse (min of 1st year training essential)
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Experience delivering low, moderate and complex care, preferably within the community.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
  • Solid working knowledge of the Wellness Approach (HACC) and understand the concept of early intervention and restorative care.
  • Satisfactory national Police Certificate (on commencement of employment and updated every three years per the Aged Care Act 1997).
  • Current motor vehicle driver's licence in addition to access to a reliable registered motor vehicle with a minimum of thirdparty insurance.
