An exciting opportunity exists for an
Administration Officer - Level 4 to join the
Surgical Bookings Team at
Wollongong Hospital.


What you'll be doing
Provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Surgical Bookings department to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner

As well as:

  • Ensure that the waiting time and elective surgery policy is adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate maintenance of the elective surgery waiting lists at Wollongong Hospital in accordance with the Ministry of Health (MoH) Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy.
  • Provide accurate information/statistics to hospital and Department of Health information systems (iPM & Waiting List Collection On-Line System (WLCOS)).
  • Provide an effective, accurate and efficient quality admission booking service.
  • Ensure all clerical procedures are completed in accordance with LHD policy and procedures.
  • Provide leave relief and assistance to Surgical Booking Clerks.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has bed base of more than 500.

The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliance


All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
