Join this well-known Australian business as the People & Capability Manager, forming part of a wider HR team and reporting to an impressive Head of HR. Play a pivotal role in managing all onsite People & Culture functions with 1 direct report, partnering with the site leadership team, and contributing to broader HR initiatives.

THE OPPORTUNITY
As the People & Culture Manager for this site, you are hands-on operationally (day to day) and strategically. With the support of an HR Coordinator (direct report) you will have the opportunity to implement HR best practice, build and increase capability across the site whilst forging strong relationships between the business and HR.

Day to day will look like:

  • Collaborate with the site leadership team to effectively manage performance, employee relations, and industrial relations matters.
  • Work on national HR projects, contributing to organisational design, implementing learning and development frameworks, and refining systems and processes.
  • Partner with the business and key stakeholders to ensure alignment between P&C strategies and overall company objectives.
  • Work closely with the wider HR team around HR strategy and HR projects.

To be successful in this position:
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within the FMCG or food production industry.
  • Strong understanding of industrial relations and experience in managing ER & IR matters within a unionised environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment who rolls up their sleeves and gets on with it.
On Offer:
  • 140k + super
  • 4 days on site, 1 day home. Flex with drop of pick up/appointments/ 38 hr week
