The role


We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Supervisor - Soils & Aggregates to join our technical team on a permanent full time basis.

This is position will have you liaising between production and sales processes using your technical knowledge and experience to ensure compliant quality processes, satisfied customers, and exceptional products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with production team to ensure successful day to day plant operations
  • Attend site meetings and act as customer liaison
  • Coordination of sampling, testing and reporting of roadbase, aggregates and associated materials per project Inspection Test Plans (ITP's)
  • Managing product quality and compliance to customer specifications and standards
  • Ensuring that product specifications are met whilst controlling manufacturing costs
  • Analysis of results and providing technical recommendations
  • Investigation of quality issues for internal and external customers
  • Development of new products and existing product optimisation
  • Providing technical assistance, education and advice within the Hy-Tec business and to clients
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, health, and environmental requirements
  • Risk assess and audit site operations to ensure procedures and processes are met
  • Assist site operations to ensure daily prestart checks are completed and maintenance is carried out in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist transport allocations with material deliveries to site
  • Assist the NSW technical and laboratory team with ISO/IEC 17025 NATA accreditation and quality compliance to ISO9001 for the manufacture of concrete and quarry products

What you will need to succeed

  • Experience in construction materials testing soils and aggregates
  • NATA Signatory preferred with a high level of competence and understanding of AS / TfNSW standards and knowledge of NATA ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or science being an advantage
  • Strong customer service skills with customers and suppliers
  • Collaborative and Innovative problemsolving abilities
  • Competency with relevant technical systems
  • QestMix, QestLab
  • Basic knowledge of SAP, Command software (for concrete production)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
